I guess I'm in love

While on my way home after work, there's no such thing better than listening to songs — as I get sentimental, and feels like my mind is being cleared as well. Suddenly, a random song by Clinton Kane began playing and it's titled "I guess I'm in love."

And yeah, I'm in love.

And when I say that, I'm not about a puppy love or a relationship wherein two people are dragging each other down. Since the word love has been overused, we are often confused with its true essence.

When I say I'm in love, it's not all about butterflies, but more about the sky, the sun, the rain, the horizon, the sunset, and anything that you can see and feel by the day.

I'm in love, but it's not a matter of ideas, but rather backed up by decisions and certainty. The assurance that someone will be there for you after a long and tiring day, and it means lovely more than anything. I'm on cloud nine since love lifted me up here, and that's how powerful it is. When I say I'm in love, I mean it in its purest context — intending to marry her years from now and live the rest of my life with her.

To be honest, seeing her always excites me as if it's my first time seeing her and I can't get used to the feeling of letting go of her hand when she's about to ride the bus. Hearing her laugh is one of the most addicting sounds I've ever heard, and her voice is the most beautiful sound I've ever listened to. Touching her face while we're both staring at each other never fails to make me realize that her beauty is ethereal. Smelling her vanilla-like scent makes me feel calm and secured — as if I'm home. If you'll notice, I only talked about four of the five senses, there's one missing, and that's a secret only for both of us.

And when I say I'm in love, I'm not in love with "just" her. I'm in love with the strongest person I've ever met; she fought her battles without hurting anybody. I'm in love with someone as lovely as the sunset sky. I'm in love with someone more than cells, tissues, and everything that makes a human. She's the present and my future — the only one I have when my back's against the wall.
